Prompt Studio was never meant to be another place to type prompts. It’s one library that survives chat history, with the phrase, the references and the outputs together, so you can reuse what already worked.
As of October 1, 2026, that library is also reachable from the tools you already live in.
One connection, same library
Prompt Studio now runs as a remote MCP server. Add https://mcp.promptstudio.app/mcp in ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Grok or Grok Bot, sign in with your normal account, and that app can read and write your library. No API key. You can disconnect any time from the app’s connector settings.
Then you just ask: “save this to Prompt Studio”, “use my lighting prompt”, “fetch my weekly report prompt”. The chat app still writes the reply. Prompt Studio only handles the library: search, save, folders, references, outputs, and image generation through the same Generate flow as the web app (that part needs Pro and credits).
Setup steps for each app are at promptstudio.app/mcp.
Why it matters
A library you only open in a browser tab still loses to the chat you’re already in. MCP flips that. The good prompt stays filed, and the assistant can pull it out or put something new away without you switching windows.
Same account, same plan limits, same library on the web, on iOS, and now in the apps you connect. More on the project page.
