AppScreenshots.ai is a tool to make designing marketing screenshots fast and easy.
If you really want to have great App Store screenshots that engages the audience and convince them to download the app, it’s a really time-consuming task. Sometimes I’ve spent days to design a good set.
So, I was thinking with all of the great available AI image models, could it be possible to almost automate this task or not. And is it possible to get production-ready and high-quality designs? Turned out the answer to the both is yes.
Close beta
I worked on this thing for quite a while now, and it‘s on Close Beta now. The public site still takes people onto the waiting list while I keep iterating with the beta group.
When started, one important factor in my mind was to create a smooth and quick flow from the first step-adding the app to the tool- to the last step which is getting the output screenshots. From the feedback I got from others, it’s almost there.
No one asked about a how to, and even better, almost all got their first output in under 5 minutes!
What I’m building next
Deciding to start with a close beta, was maybe the best decision. 20+ people tested it and they gave me so many valuable feedback on what they expected and how they wanted it to work.
Now I am working on a major new flow of creating the screenshots that is very different from how it works now. I will keep the current flow for now, and later I think I will combine the two flows into one.
Another thing is localization and screenshots in different languages. One of the users wanted to create 162 screenshots in total for ten languages. And the way it works makes it both very expensive and also time-consuming. I am thinking about an efficient way to tackle this real problem. This is exactly the same problem I was dealing for Writey screenshots a while back.
Status
Still in close beta as of mid-August 2026. The public site still routes to the waiting list. The early spring timeline for open beta and launch slipped — shipping quality mattered more than the calendar. I’m still pushing on the new flow and a saner path for multi-language screenshot sets.
